SOME OF DR. FREEMAN'S GENERAL MARKET CLIENTS

SEMINAR #1 (5 STAR FAVORITE--GREAT OUTREACH TO YOUR COMMUNITY!): an infusion of practical leadership & followership wisdom -- Dealing With People Who Drive You Crazy!"® -- Half or full day seminar addressing: teamwork, conflict resolution, enhanced communication skills, mutual respect and emotional intelligence. We all are different. Some of us are thinkers, others are doers, some are passive, and still others are aggressive. Most people come to work with pretty good intentions, but we get on each other's nerves just by being ourselves. In the every-day stress of the work environment, the tiniest issues can escalate. And soon we are fighting about the way we are fighting, instead of dealing with the real issues. People do not respond to our intentions. They respond to our behavior.

For Whom? This is an event filled with practical, biblical wisdom. It can be customized for church leadership teams, school faculty/staff/student development, counselors, musicians, missionary groups, entrepreneurs, or marriage & family issues. Excellent keynote topic for a conference. Great for men's or women's groups.

Benefits: Participants will learn how to deal with three areas of potential conflict, how to identify ten thinking distortions and will also comprehend the value of the Johari Window. (Review a more detailed list of the benefits near bottom of page).

SEMINAR #2
(A HUGE FAVORITE WITH CLERGY & OTHER LEADERS):
Professional Bloodsuckers: Dealing With the People Who Drain You of Your Time, Energy and Patience: If you have occupied any position of leadership you will agree -- 1% of the congregation can sometimes command and sustain the attention of 99% of the congregation. Half day seminar with Dr. Freeman (a professional counselor and former pastor of 18 years), exploring the way certain needy people can drain the energy and goodwill out of a church ministry leader…along with strategies for setting healthy relational boundaries. Very well-received at conferences for church leaders.

For Whom? This seminar is especially designed for anyone in the people-helping profession -- pastors, counselors, teachers, secretaries.
Benefits: Participants will better understand how to set boundaries...and yet at the same time to understand the true call of ministry that sometimes draws us to leave the 99 and go after the one sheep..

SEMINAR #3 (IN-DEPTH): Your Organization's Vision, Mission, Core Values and Code of Conduct" -- Full day seminar (using many of the Molitor, Intl principles) exploring the relevance of your vision, mission, core values and code of conduct. So many organizations have a Vision Statement that sits in a cheap 8x10 frame from Wal Mart -- gathering dust -- on a wall behind a door. No one in the church really relates what they do and how they do it -- to that statement. In many (most?) organizations, the Vision Statement isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

For Whom? This can be customized for any organization interested in the way their Vision/Mission Statement truly impacts the way they do things. A business-like look at how the Kingdom of God can function in greater faith and power -- and in an orderly manner.
Benefits: Participants will take an in depth look at the way God has designed their particular group to function. Each person will also understand how he or she fits into the overall vision of the organization -- faithfully fulfilling their respective God-given assignments.

Everyone's tuned in to Wii FM
(What's In It For Me).

The Freeman Institute provides a personal, customized approach that will make the training experience more fun, memorable, and personally meaningful for everyone.

SEMINAR #4 (POPULAR): When Strangling Someone Isn't An Option!" -- We all deal with anger. Hot anger. Cold anger. Anger is probably one of the most chameleon-like issues that Christians don't like to confront. Kind of like trying to wrestle smoke -- "I'm not angry. I'm just disappointed." The code words we use (disappointed, depressed, frustrated, etc.) are used to let others know that we aren't enraged about what has happened. The Bible states that we are to be angry and sin not. We are not to let the sun go down on our anger.

What does this mean and how do we implement such principles in everyday life? -- especially when "Sister Sandpaper" or "Brother Hammer" is clearly in the wrong! Half or full day seminar addressing: emotional intelligence, anger management, conflict resolution and enhanced communication skills.
For Whom? This can be customized for people seeking to better understand the biblical mandates regarding anger. For anyone. Men's groups really love this one -- a special emphasis on men and their emotions.
Benefits:  Participants comprehend the way men and women process their emotions differently. Everyone takes a profile inventory that helps them realize how anger is sometimes used as a tool to get restore something they value, like respect, order or peace. Very informative. Very practical.

SEMINAR #5
(POPULAR):
How Your Personality Impacts Your Organization's Success" -- Biblical characters had their own interests, quirks, blind spots and so much more. Take a look at David, Jonah, Peter, Aaron, Paul, Moses, and so many more. Some of the stories that made it into the Holy Bible are so...well...human -- so easy to relate to. This can wither be a half or full day seminar addressing: teamwork, leadership and enhanced communication skills. A professional counselor explores the wide range of emotions we deal with and how our emotions affect our leadership styles.

For Whom? This can be customized for any team that works with each other in a particular ministry or on a specific project.
Benefits: Participants will take an in depth look at the way God has designed them. Biblical characters are better understood as individuals with certain personalities used by God to faithfully fulfill their respective God-given assignments.

SEMINAR #6 (MUCH NEEDED): Diversity: The Value of Mutual Respect -- The Bible is full of diversity. Jesus took great pains to let us know the cultural and ethnic backgrounds of people -- Syro-Phoenician woman, etc. In heaven there will be every tongue and nation represented. God is a God of mission, with such a love for variety. On earth is where things get a bit crazy! We all deal with stereotypical thinking. How does the church want to address this? Live in denial? Walk on egg around the topic? Or go straight at it with an anti-eggshell approach that is filled with solid information, humor, high risk and a curiosity-driven perspective?

Some futurists predict that by the year 2050 there will be no clearly defined racial/cultural majority in the United States. Demographic changes and shifting attitudes in the nation are resulting in changes in the face of the church -- culture, religion, gender, generation and other factors.
This is a matter that goes beyond basic awareness to concentrate on the skills needed to face diversity in a responsible, effective and fun-filled manner. Half or full day seminar addressing: cross-cultural understanding, diversity and communication.
  For Whom?
This can be customized for churches seeking to have more cultural diversity and/or cross-cultural understanding in their congregations.
Benefits: Participants will understand the layers of diversity (cultural, generational, gender, etc.) that most every congregation already experiences and how to better appreciate each other.

SEMINAR #7 (POPULAR -- GREAT OUTREACH TO YOUR COMMUNITY!):100,000 volts of entrepreneurial business intelligence -- IGNITE (or re-ignite) Your Entrepreneurial Passion!  -- 25% inspiration and 75% education. According to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation (an organization that promotes entrepreneurship & education) there are approximately 10 million Americans involved in starting a new business at any given time. Many of these entrepreneurs are Christians. As the author of an intriguing book on this topic – with humor, personal vulnerability and practical insights Freeman will share the wisdom lessons learned from the ups and downs of his many enterprises. Plus, he will show how your congregation can start an entrepreneur club. Half or full day seminar addressing: entrepreneurship, time management, creativity, productivity and business intelligence.
  For Whom?
This can be customized for churches seeking to encourage the entrepreneurs in their congregation and also to use the seminar as an outreach to draw people who want to become more successful.

Benefits: Participants will leave with their heads pounding with new information and hearts pounding with a new or renewed passion for the entrepreneurial journey. The seminar is designed for anyone desiring to take an idea to the marketplace. Anyone. Inventors, writers, musicians, performers, speakers, film makers, and/or business enterprise owners, etc. (youth or adults). (Review a more detailed list of the benefits near bottom of page).

ENTREPRENEURIAL CONNECTION with JOEL FREEMAN -- PART ONE
"LESSONS FROM A TRACTOR"

SEMINAR #8 (POPULAR): The Mysterious Rosetta Stone and it’s Impact on Biblical Archaeology -- Half day seminar. The Rosetta Stone. Anyone with an interest in the fields of archaeology, cryptology, writing, publishing, Egyptology, science, IT security, geology, languages and/or translation work -- anyone involved in unlocking mysteries -- immediately understands the significance of this famous artifact. Found in Egypt on the West bank of the Nile in 1799 by Napoleon's soldiers, it took 23 years to crack the code to hieroglyphics -- which ultimately helped to unlock the secrets to ancient Egypt and also the field of Biblical Archaeology. Dr. Freeman will share some of the benefits of the discovery of the Rosetta Stone to better understanding the reliability of the Scriptures through the spade of Archaeology – RosettaStoneReplicas.com

For Whom? For anyone interested in Biblical archaeology and the reliability of the Scriptures.
Benefits: Participants will understand the value of the Rosetta Stone in helping to set the stage for the soft science of archaeology to emerge in the mid-late 1800s.

SEMINAR #9 (STRESS MGMT): All Stressed Out and No One To Choke -- In this fast-paced era, stress hits all of us right between the eyes. So much so that most of us are not comfortable with silence. We have to have something on at all times -- radio, TV, CD player, mp3 player and more. Yes, Biblical characters dealt with stress. Imagine Kind David trying to run from Saul, who was trying to kill him. Imagine Paul, blind for three days after being knocked to the ground on the road to Damascus. Imagine Ruth leaving Moab, after the death of her husband, walking with Naomi to an uncertain future in Bethlehem-Judah. Half or full day seminar addressing: stress management, emotional clarity, creativity and respect.

For Whom? This can be customized for churches seeking to develop more joy in serving the Lord, identifying the bad kind of stress that saps energy, harms relationships and fuels disillusionment.
Benefits: Participants will understand the difference between good stress and bad stress and how stress impacts the physical body.

SEMINAR #10 (*FAVORITE): intriguing perspectives on Black History and the Bible -- A White Man's Journey Into Black History -- Half day seminar. This is an unforgettable overview of the journey taken by author, Dr. Joel Freeman in co-writing the book/film, Return To Glory: The Powerful Stirring of the Black Race. Welding together powerful visual images of ancient Africa with a compelling narrative, Freeman gives a biblically-based glimpse (from many passages throughout Isaiah, Psalms, Zechariah, etc.) into the reality that Black people were the originators of science, mathematics, astronomy and so much more.

He also seeks to address the question: Why is it that African American churches have not historically been involved in intercultural, global missions? Dr. Freeman will dissect the reasons, giving specific examples of people of African descent who were involved in missions in spite of the Slave Trade, slavery, Reconstruction, the Depression and Jim Crow. We will also develop some practical ideas regarding the development of a local and international missions emphasis. Attendees representing any congregation will get a lot out of this informative and inspirational session
  For Whom?
This can be customized for churches seeking to understand the Biblical perspective on African history. Fascinating information. Not so much Afrocentric. Not so much Eurocentric. It's truthcentric.

Benefits: Participants will be given an in-depth historical overview. The mental, emotional and spiritual dynamics will be presented. And then we will discuss intercultural, global missions. A fascinating event that transcends race.

SEMINAR #11 (*FAVORITE): intriguing perspectives about working with professional athletes -- THE SURPRISING BENEFITS OF UNSELFISHNESS: Business Wisdom and Life Lessons from an NBA Chaplain -- 2-3 hour seminar, keynote speech at banquet, or men's breakfast presentation. For 20 seasons Dr. Freeman worked as chaplain for the NBA Washington Bullets/Wizards (1978/79 - 1997/98 seasons). He was one of the first chaplains in the history of the NBA and is writing a book about his experiences -- Finding the Open Man. During this time he learned a lot about the psyche of pro athletes and how to connect what he observed to our everyday lives. A fascinating glimpse into the inner world of a team -- what works and what doesn't work when it comes to team chemistry. He also can exhibit 20-30 items from his time with the team, including the championship ring you see below right --->

For Whom? This can be customized so that just about anyone will benefit. The most often question asked: "How does one become a chaplain for a pro team?" -- CLICK HERE
Benefits: Everyone will learn a number of wisdom lessons, with stories to back them up:

                - Listen. And then listen some more.
                  - Approach every day with curiosity.
                    - Take your job seriously but not yourself too seriously.
                      - Address problems with practical solutions.
                        - Start projects worth finishing and then finish them with excellence.
                          - Paint all the way to the edge of the canvas.
                            - Life is short.
                              - Gratitude for everything. Everything.

FILM SCREENING (5 STAR EVENT FOR COMMUNITY): intriguing perspectives on Black History and the Bible -- Return To Glory: The Powerful Stirring of the Black Man -- The 45-minute, award-winning film is based upon the book (same title) endorsed by Ben Carson, Bill Cosby, Julius Erving, Joe Frazier and many others. Film also has subtitles in French, Portuguese, Spanish and English. This inspiring documentary film presents compelling evidence that Black people once dominated much of the civilized world, only to suffer a tragic downfall of epic proportions.

~ R e S O U R C E S ~

RESOURCE #1 (IN-REACH / OUT-REACH): Entrepreneur Clubs -- entrepreneur club resources for churches. An excellent "in-reach" and out-reach" tool. There are many CEO, business and networking clubs in churches. Based upon extensive research, the book/workbook combination (with Leader's Guide) is the first and only major resource for churches to establish entrepreneur clubs.

Here's the domino effect: As entrepreneurs become more successful, they can give more to their local churches. As entrepreneurs give more, the local church can do more both locally and internationally. Music to a senior pastor's ears! Here is a website that provides and overview --  emc2clubs.com -- WorkHardWorkSmart.com -- additional entrepreneurship resources.

IgniteHamptonRoads.com -- example of entrepreneur seminar event at Hampton University. Dr. Freeman is both willing and able to do region-wide entrepreneur events to help launch church-based entrepreneur clubs.  25% inspiration. 75% education. People leave these events with heads filled with new information and hearts pounding with a new passion and direction for the entrepreneurial journey. Freeman also has a CD with 72 free 5-minute entrepreneur radio programs that are used in advance of any event to help people understand what The Freeman Institute has to offer.

RESOURCE #2 (FAVORITE -- EVANGELISM): Everyday Matters Magazine (Ben Carson on cover)-- $5,000 donation for any ministry within your church...PLUS your church receives up to 25,000 copies of this unique magazine to encourage personal evangelism and outreach. Youth group. Men's ministry. Women's ministry...

Too good to be true? Unlike anything you have ever seen. Better than any car wash or bake sale. The 32-page, glossy magazine (6"x9") will be published as your local magazine without taking one penny from your church budget. Zip. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

After every service and Bible study members can take 5-10 copies to use as non-weird conversation-starters in their everyday lives. An excellent way to encourage evangelism that is built around conversations in one's everyday life (e.g. Jesus with the woman at the well).
Dr. Freeman is willing to email a confidential document that answers every question (FAQ). An official distribution footprint is granted as a license to each church. Your church is the only one that can have your particular distribution footprint. Reserve your magazine agreement today.
It can also be a fund raiser that the entrepreneur club can do as a financial blessing to their club and also a spiritual/evangelistic blessing to their local congregation. Check out this website for more info: LoveThisMag.com (You'll be taken to a new window)

RESOURCE #3 (GUT-LEVEL COMMUNITY OUTREACH): Black History Gallery -- Your organization (church, Christian school, charter school, community-based, youth group, etc.) can establish a Black History gallery in your community -- designed to educate and inspire young people of all ages. How is this possible? Dr. Freeman has a collection of over 3,000 documents and artifacts (oldest piece, 1553).

Each gallery will serve as kind of a town well for the community where people gather to learn about history, values, entrepreneurship, and much more. An executive summary -- BlackHistoryGallery.com
Each gallery will have a wall dedicated to some of the White abolitionists who sacrificed their lives for the anti-slavery cause. This project also includes replicas of the Rosetta Stone to be exhibited in every gallery.

We'd love for community-based organizations, churches, and/or community colleges to be a part of sponsoring Black History galleries in major cities throughout the USA and parts of Canada. Read more about Dr. Freeman's personal story. (Email for more information.)

Freeman has done an economic viability study and believes that each community can approach this as an entrepreneurial venture, with all of the pieces set in place for success. The Return To Glory film has been translated (subtitles) into French, Portuguese and Spanish. The RTG film will be shown every hour on the hour in every gallery in the world -- in the language specific to that region of the world. Contact Joel directly to talk about the possibilities in your community. He will email you a document that explains more about this exciting project.
