 Here we are at the airport in Perth, ready to fly to Melbourne. We met two American students who are studying in Australia. Jon Wickert, to the left, became a friend and we have traded quite a number of emails since. |
 Jesse is at another Internet Cafe in Melbourne, playing an interactive search-and-destroy game with a bunch of other players in the same room. They form teams and it was quite a bit of fun watching. |

 Jesse watching the CNN news accounts in the common area of the Youth Hostel in Sydney about the terrorist attacks in NYC and the Pentagon. We were absolutely stunned by this horrific tragedy. |
 We ended up staying an extra five days in Sydney, because all of the airspace in North America was shut down. Every day we woke up wondering if a flight was going out to LA that day. The Youth Hostel required that we let them know whether we were staying or leaving by 10am each day. |
