Upolu Cay and The Great Barrier Reef

I'm standing on Upolu Cay, a small bit of sand in the Great Barrier Reef.
I went here while Jesse did some more scuba diving during the afternoon.
 Jesse is doing some serious styling and profiling. |

 My best 30'-below-sea-level wave. I let my poor-excuse-for-a-beard grow on this trip. I had to put Vaseline on my mustache to prevent leakage. But can you see the water level in the bottom of my goggles in the picture to the right? I had to expel water from my goggles on a regular basis. |

 We sailed on the catamaran, Ocean Spirit. |
 Jesse is on the boat ready to go on the afternoon session of scuba diving, while I am on the glass bottom boat going to spend some time on Upolu Cay. Our instructor is coming down the steps. |
 Leaving from Cairns we traveled by catamaran for about 2 1/2 hours before stopping near Upolu Cay, the island of sand above. |
This is my best leaning-over-the-bow "Titanic" impression.
Can you see the tiny Upolu Cay near my right shoulder? That is the
island I'm on in the picture at the top of this page.
